Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8
So as the Microsoft IE8 Beta 1 echo’s throughout the internet over and over, I decided to take the plunge. The installation seemed to have gone painless up until the setup needs to restart the computer to complete the installation. BUT I won’t let this keep me down even though the setup gave a little warning in the beginning that it may need to restart. After installation the initial webpage that pops up allows you to select from a multitude of “service providers”. Most notably, one I use often, is StumbleUpon. The layout looks pretty much the same. They added a button to the far right of the tabs that’s a blue square with the number 7 in it. This button allows IE8 Beta 1 to “emulate” IE7. I actually could not make a post to this blog with IE8 unfortunately as it silently complained about scripting errors. I had to result to Firefox for this post. *says out loud* It’s only a beta. Follow up to come.
